Tag

Friday, December 31st, 2010

So, I bought LeapFrog’s Tag as Ezra’s Christmas gift this year. Albeit, it is pricey, but to see him playing with a pen and book makes me believe it was worth the cost. …And, I confess, I also bought it just to see how it works.

At The Movies

Friday, December 31st, 2010

-v-, Ezra and  me went see Ezra’s first movie in a movie theater. While the movie Tangled was sort of entertaining, it was more entertaining to watch Ezra watch the movie and his reaction. It was funny to hear him wonder when he could see more characters from the movie Cars as there was a preview of Cars 2 before the movie began. At first, the loud sound seemed to make him uncomfortable, but by the end of the movie Ezra wanted to watch another in the theaters.

I Found The Monster Truck Shoes

Sunday, December 26th, 2010

I was moving boxes around in the box room to find interim space for the toys Ezra’s that will be given away, and I found the Monster Truck Shoes in a cat carrier with the gate shut.

…Christmas…

Saturday, December 25th, 2010

I finally know what my parents felt like when they woke way too early on Christmas morning to follow an excited kid to the Christmas Tree. It felt good watching the kid open his gifts and liking them all. It was tiring waking at 4 in the morning because the excited kid wasn’t up putting together a toy the night before and there was nothing keeping his excitement in bed.

Maybe Ezra is Secretly Left Handed?

Friday, December 24th, 2010

Not that I care, too much, but I do, because I am left handed and there are so few of us, so I noticed Ezra was drawing with the caulk with his left hand and not his right which is the hand he uses most to write.

Caillou Is OK

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

I have come to like Caillou after it hasn’t been watched after a time. I have found I become too cynical if I see something over and over again during a short span of time. Ezra doesn’t seem to become cynical. I still want to tell him how I think Bob The Builder is probably thought to be a commy by some people, but I reason cynicism can wait.

Happy Holidays!

Monday, December 20th, 2010

Ezra has been getting me in the mood for the holidays as he has been keeping the excitement of presents and holiday lights constant. Every days since we have gotten the tree set-up, Ezra has been excited to turn the tree lights on. He enjoys seeing the red of the lights outside. I was one who didn’t much care for the holidays. Now, I am excited thanks to Ezra!

Not A Fan Of C-SPAN

Saturday, December 18th, 2010

Ezra expressed he is not a fan of C-SPAN by closing the laptop as C-SPAN2 was playing while Ezra and I put together a 3-d car puzzle. After I told Ezra to ask if he could turn off C-SPAN because I was interested in hearing it. He asked if he could turn off C-SPAN, and I said yes.

I Like The Box

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

My cares changed about the box, and the box has stayed around. The box is a great toy, I realized. It moved locations from the main living area to a room and to the basement.

It seems I came to care about the box.

Oh christmas tree

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

We went out and got our christmas tree today! The weather outside was a little dry, so we were able to bring the tree right on in the house. We got it decorated and everything.2010-12-12_16-50-47_230.jpg

The Holiday Lights!

Monday, December 6th, 2010

We have red lights by the front door and blue lights for a window. Ezra got his own special holiday room lights that we told him probably would be out of his room before the end of January (which I will be surprised if they ever leave his room).

Holiday Lights

Saturday, December 4th, 2010

I have found because of Ezra that I have more fun during the holidays. His additional joy at seeing family make me feel more joy and remember the simple joys of holidays.

This holiday season Ezra has been pointing out the holiday lights that I would have other wise ignored. He likes the lights, so much I am excited at the thoughts of getting some holiday lights and putting them up, so Ezra will smile.

I Learned It By Watching You

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

I have noticed that when I am interacting with my computer that Ezra then has an increased want to watch Thomas The Tank Engine or some other show on the computer. I have noticed if I do not interact with my computer when Ezra is around then it is likely Ezra will want to watch some show on the computer.

I’m A Push-Over

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

Well, compared to -v-, I feel I am a push-over when it comes to Ezra and his whine and talk to get hs way to watch one more Thomas the Tank Engine, have me read one more book, let him wear his shirt one more night, to let there be one less brush of teeth. For example, while Ezra and -v- agreed on 3 Thomas the Tank Engine. Ezra talked his way to 5 once -v- had left. And I read three books and not just two books before bed. And he is wearing his shirt again tonight.
